High up in the rafters of one of Dolores's barns are two baby Great Horned Owls. The soft white downy feathers around the face show that they were born in the last few months in their huge nest.
The Great Horned Owls are nocturnal and useful for rodent control on the farm.

Even though the above Great Horned Owls are living in a barn, they are quite different than Barn Owls. See photo below.
