Where did Papa Frank grow up?
Answer: Papa Frank was born on June 16, 1904 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The Diener family moved to Los Angeles, California in 1918 when he was 14 years old.
In 1919, they moved to Cucamonga, CA. At the age of 17, Papa Frank began working in his uncle's clothing store in Oxnard, CA.
In 1928, he married Mary Alice Ferry (Nona) and they continued to live in Oxnard until they moved to Five Points in 1930.
To summarize: Papa Frank's childhood years were in New Jersey, then several teenage years were in L.A. and Cucamonga. His early adult years were in Oxnard. And then he made the monumental move to Five Points at the age of 26.
