Harris Farms, Inc. recently announced that Jim Beecher will be its new president and CEO. Beecher will be in charge of Harris’s farming, hospitality and thoroughbred horse divisions, and will report directly to John Harris. His responsibilities will include overseeing the Harris Ranch Restaurant, fueling stations, a Fast Track convenience store and Harris Ranch Express BBQ and the farming operations which include crops such as nuts, vegetables, citrus, and grapes. He will not direct the beef operations because about two months ago, Harris Ranch Beef Company was sold to Central Valley Meat Co. in Hanford.
He will leave his Farming D and Beecher/Ryan Harvesting positions and begin working at Harris Farms later this summer.
