Brother Timothy (Part 2)

Brother Timothy graduated from Cathedral Catholic High School in 1928 and left home to become a Christian Brother (a religious order for Catholic men) at the novitiate of Holy Angels, De La Salle in Martinez, California.
Brother Tim began his winemaking career in 1935 with the Christian Brothers at the Mont La Salle operation in Napa Valley. Known for his kindness, sense of humor, quick wit and warm grin, Brother Tim was a peer of many of the winemakers such as Ernest Gallo and Robert and Peter Mondavi, who were instrumental in reviving the California wine industry after the repeal of Prohibition.
