Saint Agnes Medical Center

Nona and Papa Frank's generosity made this beautiful chapel possible at Saint Agnes Medical Center.
During Dolores’s recent stay at the hospital, we were able to enjoy this legacy they left.
“The Frank Diener Family Chapel of Christ the Healer”
The family names are hard to see in this photo, but they are all there.

Dolores is home now and feeling MUCH better!

Papa Frank was instrumental in moving the hospital to its new location out on Herndon. He was the president of the board of Saint Agnes at the time (early 1970's). He helped choose the land on which to build, secure the financing, and he signed the contract with the Del Webb Construction Company. The hospital opened its doors at the new location in 1974.
Nona and Papa Frank were true friends and benefactors of Saint Agnes Hospital.

And the big annual fund raiser out at the Ranch was something not to be missed. Especially if you were a kid - real silver dollars were used at all the games of chance and things went on way past my bedtime. Early the next morning would find me, Ed & Esta combing thru the grass in front of the booths to find the spilled silver treasures that had dropped from careless or inebriated hands.

Such a legacy! With Mom at St. Agnes for 3 1/2 weeks, the Frank and Mary Alice Diener presence was comforting.

Interesting story about the silver dollars, I don't remember that!
