Recently, our Diocesan paper had an article about a missionary who traveled through the San Joaquin Valley in a specially made Chapel Car.
I remember him well!! and I was only 4 years old when he left the area, demonstrating his magnetic personality. He was Father Leo Kulleck who was a big man and must have been well liked because my biggest memory was his joyful, rollicking laughter. We girls would climb all over him and the other priests that came through to give missions (these men either enjoyed our youthful attention OR they made a big sacrifice by putting up with us).
